Cleaner / Caretaker
Position Start Date – August 25, 2025
Part-Time: 5 Days per week – 4:00pm – 8:00pm daily (20 hours total)
*Time off during school holiday periods

Coast Mountain Academy is looking for a hard-working, efficient, and reliable cleaner / caretaker to take care of our middle school campus in Squamish, BC. Responsibilities include a mix of indoor and outdoor cleaning and organizational tasks, with the main daily focus on classroom, and washroom cleanliness. This position is well documented and there is a clear set of expectations for each shift. Preference will be given to candidates who are additionally able to take on small maintenance jobs such as changing light bulbs, adjusting door handles, tightening screws, filling holes in drywall, caulking, pressure washing, and small paint projects. Remuneration for this part-time position will start at $30/hour, with room to grow in the future. There may be the opportunity for additional hours when extra cleaning and maintenance is needed. No benefits are provided for this position.

  • Task Coordination – Organizing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules effectively
  • Adaptability & Prioritization – Adjusting work priorities as needed to meet cleanliness standards
  • Knowledge of Cleaning Procedures & Products – Understanding proper use of cleaning agents, tools, and equipment
  • Time Management – Completing tasks within designated time frames without compromising quality
  • Physical Stamina – Being capable of standing, lifting, bending, and performing repetitive movements
  • Communication Skills – Coordinating with staff and reporting issues effectively
  • Professionalism & Reliability – Maintaining a consistent work ethic and adhering to CMA standards
  • Ability to Pass a Trial Clean – Demonstrating adherence to company cleaning standards during a trial period
