Welcome Ms. Jellema to CMA

The Coast Mountain Academy team is thrilled to welcome Ms. Elysia Jellema to the faculty team. She will teaching Math to both our grade 8 and grade 11 students, along with some senior science courses like Environmental Science, Chemistry, and Physics. She is a great fit with CMA’s mission to create an engaging and experiential learning environment at our school, as well as our desire to graduate conscientious global citizens. Here are a few words from Ms. Jellema:

I am thrilled to be joining CMA’s incredible community.  I am arriving at CMA from West Point Grey Academy in Vancouver (just like Mr. Hamilton). Prior to this I taught at the Internationella Engelska Skolan (Lund, Sweden) and Greenwood College School (Toronto, Canada).  I believe that education needs to be experiential with a strong focus on growth-mindset, challenge, and character development. I look forward to sharing academic and wilderness adventures with you all!
