Fine Arts

At CMA, we recognize the importance of a dynamic fine arts program. As we continue to grow and evolve CMA has been able to round out our rigorous academic program with a developing fine arts program. Our teachers support the artistic interests of our students in a number of ways including required courses, as well as elective courses in music, visual arts, and drama.

We also recognize the top quality nature of existing arts programs within our community. In partnership with Squamish Academy of Music, we are now offering high-quality music classes and music ensemble to our students. Our music ensemble students have performed together on a number of occasions including holiday concerts at the Sea to Sky Gondola, as well as at CMA graduation ceremonies and talent shows. Our INQubator and E3 programs endeavor to include as many opportunities for students to explore the arts as possible. E3 activities continue to include trips to museums like the Audain Art Museum and INQubator projects have included such explorations as ‘how humans contribute to extinction as expressed through paintings’.
